specificity :
Anti-RPA14 [Murine MAb recognizes Replication Protein A (14 kD), a single-stranded DNA binding protein essential in DNA replication, homologous recombination, and nucleotide excision repair.]. This antibody recognizes human and mouse RPA14. RPA (Replication Protein A) is a single-stranded DNA binding protein. Human RPA is a heterotrimeric protein containing subunits of 70, 32, and 14 kD. This protein complex is highly conserved in eukaryotes and is essential in DNA replication, homologous recombination, and nucleotide excision repair.

uniprot summary :
Function: DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Component of RNA polymerase I which synthesizes ribosomal RNA precursors. A14 seems to play a role in the stability of subunits ABC23 and A43. In vitro, the A14-A43 subcomplex binds single-stranded RNA. Ref.12. Subunit structure: Component of the RNA polymerase I (Pol I) complex consisting of 14 subunits. Part of a Pol I subcomplex consisting of the subunits A14 and A43. Interacts with RPA43. Ref.9. Subcellular location: Nucleus nucleolus Ref.10. Post-translational modification: The N-terminus is blocked. Miscellaneous: Present with 3100 molecules/cell in log phase SD medium. Ref.11
