specificity :
Anti-Estrogen Receptor beta [Murine MAb to fusion protein corresponding to aa 1-153 of human estrogen receptor-beta, a member of the steroid family of nuclear receptors.]. This antibody recognizes human ER- beta , a novel receptor (approx. 52 kD) recently isolated from testis. The size and structure of ER- beta are very similar to ER- alpha with the ligand and DNA binding domains being highly conserved. The N-terminus of each receptor, which serves as their transactivation domain, are significantly different. Like ER- alpha , ER- beta binds to estrogen with a high affinity and regulates estrogen-specific gene activation through direct interaction with estrogen response elements
