products description :
HUMAN PANCREATIC LIPASE ENZYME bulk quantities from 5,000-15,000 unit single lot sizes. We are bulk manufactures of diagnostic grade human and animal pancreatic lipase for research and clinical diagnostic manufacturer(s). Human Pancreatic Lipase enzyme UNIT DEFINITION: One unit will catalyze the hydrolysis of one micromole per minute of 1,2-o-dilauryl-rac-glycero-3-glutaric acid-(6'-methylresorufin) ester in the presence of colipase, bile salt, and calcium chloride at 37C. Human Pancreatic lipase enzyme is a water-soluble enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of ester bonds in water-insoluble, lipid substrates Most lipase(s) act at a specific position on the glycerol backbone of a lipid substrate (A1, A2 or A3). Human pancreatic Lipase Clinical Significance: Investigations of pancreatic disorders, pancreatitis, acute and chronic renal disease. Custom purification of human pancreatic Lipase enzyme from other species available. Custom fills of human pancreatic lipase enzyme available. As manufacturers we are able to place human pancreatic lipase in the buffer of your choice. Our human pancreatic Lipase enzyme is used in multi analyte clinical chemistry controls and calibrators by major IVD manufacturer(s) around the world.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes gastric lipase, an enzyme involved in the digestion of dietary triglycerides in the gastrointestinal tract, and responsible for 30% of fat digestion processes occurring in human. It is secreted by gastric chief cells in the fundic mucosa of the stomach, and it hydrolyzes the ester bonds of triglycerides under acidic pH conditions. The gene is a member of a conserved gene family of lipases that play distinct roles in neutral lipid metabolism. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]
uniprot summary :
Catalytic activity: Triacylglycerol + H2O = diacylglycerol + a carboxylate. Subcellular location: Secreted. Sequence similarities: Belongs to the AB hydrolase superfamily. Lipase family. Sequence caution: The sequence CAA29414.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation.
