ZIP14 Antibody is affinity chromatography purified via peptide column.
storage stability :
ZIP14 antibody can be stored at 4 degree C for three months and -20 degree C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
tested application :
ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF)
app notes :
ZIP14 antibody can be used for detection of ZIP14 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 2.5 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 mug/mL.
other info1 :
Conjugate: Unconjugated. Immunogen: ZIP14 antibody was raised against a 16 amino acid synthetic peptide near the center of human ZIP14. Buffer: ZIP14 Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
products description :
ZIP14 Antibody: The zinc transporter ZIP14, also known as SLC39A14, is a member of a family of divalent ion transporters. Zinc is an essential ion for cells and plays significant roles in the growth, development, and differentiation. The zinc transporter family is divided into four subfamilies (I, II, LIV-1 and gufA). ZIP14 is a glycosylated multipass plasma membrane protein that belongs to the ZIP transporter subfamily LIV-1. ZIP14 has been shown to contribute to the hypozincemia of inflammation and infection and is regulated in the liver by IL-6. In addition to zinc, ZIP14 is also involved in the cellular uptake of non-transferrin-bound iron as well as iron bound to transferrin.

ncbi summary :
Zinc is an essential cofactor for hundreds of enzymes. It is involved in protein, nucleic acid, carbohydrate, and lipid metabolism, as well as in the control of gene transcription, growth, development, and differentiation. SLC39A14 belongs to a subfamily of proteins that show structural characteristics of zinc transporters (Taylor and Nicholson, 2003 [PubMed 12659941]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
