form :
The TRH was lyophilized with no additives. Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
storage stability :
Lyophilized Protirelin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution TRH should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
other info2 :
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Thyroliberin in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

products description :
Description: Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone Human C16H22N6O4 has a molecular mass of 362.4 Dalton. The TRH is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Introduction: Thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH), also called thyrotropin-releasing factor (TRF), thyroliberin or protirelin, is a tripeptide hormonethat stimulates the release of thyroid-stimulating hormoneand prolactinby the anterior pituitary. TRH is produced by the hypothalamus, near the paraventricular nucleus. It travels across the median eminenceto the pituitary via the hypophyseal portal system. It is released from cells called thyrotropes. In addition to the brain, TRH can also be detected in other areas of the body including the gastrointestinal systemand pancreatic islets.Protirelin stimulates the secretion of pituitary thyroid stimulating hormone from the anterior pituitary and has been shown that protirelin increases secretion of prolactin. Protirelin is identified as 5-oxo-L-prolyl-L-histidyl-L-proline amide. It is a synthetic tripeptide that is believed to be structurally identical to the naturally-occurring thyrotropin-releasing hormone produced by the hypothalamus.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the thyrotropin-releasing hormone family. Cleavage of the encoded proprotein releases mature thyrotropin-releasing hormone, which is a tripeptide hypothalamic regulatory hormone. The human proprotein contains six thyrotropin-releasing hormone tripeptides. Thyrotropin-releasing hormone is involved in the regulation and release of thyroid-stimulating hormone, as well as prolactin. Deficiency of this hormone has been associated with hypothalamic hypothyroidism. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]
uniprot summary :
TRH: Functions as a regulator of the biosynthesis of TSH in the anterior pituitary gland and as a neurotransmitter/ neuromodulator in the central and peripheral nervous systems. May promote hair shaft elongation, prolonge the hair cycle growth phase (anagen) and antagonized its termination by TGFB2. May also increase proliferation and inhibited apoptosis of hair matrix keratinocytes. Belongs to the TRH family. Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3q13.3-q21. Cellular Component: plasma membrane; extracellular region; nucleus; secretory granule. Molecular Function: neuropeptide hormone activity; thyrotropin-releasing hormone activity. Biological Process: response to ethanol; negative regulation of glutamate secretion; hormone-mediated signaling; cell-cell signaling; eating behavior; response to glucose stimulus; response to hypoxia; positive regulation of insulin secretion; response to cold; histamine metabolic process; signal transduction; adult walking behavior; positive regulation of gamma-aminobutyric acid secretion; response to corticosterone stimulus. Disease: Thyrotropin-releasing Hormone Deficiency
