other info1 :
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 3.12 IU/ml – 100 IU/ml. Sensitivity: 1.0 IU/ml.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated LH concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human LH antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add LH and LH antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of LH in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean x100]

ncbi summary :
This gene is a member of the glycoprotein hormone beta chain family and encodes the beta subunit of luteinizing hormone (LH). Glycoprotein hormones are heterodimers consisting of a common alpha subunit and an unique beta subunit which confers biological specificity. LH is expressed in the pituitary gland and promotes spermatogenesis and ovulation by stimulating the testes and ovaries to synthesize steroids. The genes for the beta chains of chorionic gonadotropin and for luteinizing hormone are contiguous on chromosome 19q13.3. Mutations in this gene are associated with hypogonadism which is characterized by infertility and pseudohermaphroditism. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
LHB: Promotes spermatogenesis and ovulation by stimulating the testes and ovaries to synthesize steroids. Defects in LHB are a cause of hypogonadism LHB-related (HGON-LHB). Hypogonadism is characterized by infertility and pseudohermaphroditism. Belongs to the glycoprotein hormones subunit beta family. Protein type: Hormone; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.32. Cellular Component: extracellular region. Molecular Function: hormone activity; receptor binding. Biological Process: progesterone biosynthetic process; cellular protein metabolic process; cell-cell signaling; peptide hormone processing; male gonad development; signal transduction. Disease: Fertile Eunuch Syndrome
