Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 1.56 ng/ml - 100 ng/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of Rat PCPE1 is typically less than 1.0 ng/ml.

Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A purified polyclonal antibody specific for Rat PCPE1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards, Control and Samples are pipetted into the wells and any Rat PCPE1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. A Biotin-Conjugate antibody specific for Rat PCPE1 is added to the wells and incubated. Following a wash to remove any unbound antibody-biotin reagent. The Enzyme Conjugate is then added to each well and incubated. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed. Then incubated with a substrate for the enzyme. The enzyme reaction yields a blue product that turns yellow when the Stop Solution is added. The intensity of the color measured is in proportion to the amount of Rat PCPE1 bound in the initial step. The sample values are then read off the standard curve.
