other info1 :
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 6.25 ng/ml - 200 ng/ml. Sensitivity: 1.0 ng/ml.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated SPD concentrations in Bovine serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Bovine SPD antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add SPD and SPD antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of SPD in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is part of the innate immune response, protecting the lungs against inhaled microorganisms and chemicals. The encoded protein may also be involved in surfactant metabolism. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]
uniprot summary :
SFTPD: Contributes to the lung s defense against inhaled microorganisms. May participate in the extracellular reorganization or turnover of pulmonary surfactant. Binds strongly maltose residues and to a lesser extent other alpha-glucosyl moieties. Belongs to the SFTPD family. Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q22.2-q23.1. Cellular Component: proteinaceous extracellular matrix; extracellular space; collagen; endocytic vesicle; lysosome; extracellular region. Molecular Function: protein binding; carbohydrate binding. Biological Process: receptor-mediated endocytosis; negative regulation of T cell proliferation; positive regulation of phagocytosis; defense response to bacterium; negative regulation of interleukin-2 biosynthetic process; innate immune response; respiratory gaseous exchange; alveolus development; surfactant homeostasis; macrophage chemotaxis; regulation of cytokine production
