other info2 :
Intended Uses: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated IL32 concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human IL32 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add IL32 and IL32 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of IL32 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean x100]

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the cytokine family. The protein contains a tyrosine sulfation site, 3 potential N-myristoylation sites, multiple putative phosphorylation sites, and an RGD cell-attachment sequence. Expression of this protein is increased after the activation of T-cells by mitogens or the activation of NK cells by IL-2. This protein induces the production of TNFalpha from macrophage cells. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
IL32: Cytokine that may play a role in innate and adaptive immune responses. It induces various cytokines such as TNFA/TNF- alpha and IL8. It activates typical cytokine signal pathways of NF-kappa-B and p38 MAPK. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Cell adhesion; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.3. Cellular Component: extracellular space; membrane. Molecular Function: protein binding; cytokine activity. Biological Process: immune response; defense response; cell adhesion
