other info1 :
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 0.625 ng/ml - 20 ng/ml. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/ml.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: ELISA is a simple and highly sensitive method of analysis that allows for simultaneous and rapid quantification of a large number of samples. The assay is based on the specific recognition of the target compound (analyte/antigen) by antibodies which bind to the compound. The antigen-antibody complex is detected and measured with the aid of an enzyme-labeled antibody or antigen. Upon addition of a non-colored reagent, the enzyme produces a color reaction where the color intensity is directly or inversely proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample. This quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is in tended to determinate ANG concentrations in Mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, feces, urine and body fluids, and it is only for research, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean x100]

ncbi summary :
This gene belongs to the motin family of angiostatin binding proteins characterized by conserved coiled-coil domains and C-terminal PDZ binding motifs. The encoded protein is expressed predominantly in endothelial cells of capillaries as well as larger vessels of the placenta where it may mediate the inhibitory effect of angiostatin on tube formation and the migration of endothelial cells toward growth factors during the formation of new blood vessels. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
AMOT: Plays a central role in tight junction maintenance via the complex formed with ARHGAP17, which acts by regulating the uptake of polarity proteins at tight junctions. Appears to regulate endothelial cell migration and tube formation. May also play a role in the assembly of endothelial cell-cell junctions. Belongs to the angiomotin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq23. Cellular Component: signalosome; ruffle; tight junction; cell surface; lamellipodium; endocytic vesicle; cytoplasm; stress fiber; integral to membrane; actin filament; cytosol; external side of plasma membrane. Molecular Function: protein binding; angiostatin binding; receptor activity. Biological Process: intercellular junction assembly; blood vessel endothelial cell migration; positive regulation of cell size; in utero embryonic development; positive regulation of blood vessel endothelial cell migration; gastrulation with mouth forming second; chemotaxis; regulation of cell migration; negative regulation of angiogenesis; regulation of small GTPase mediated signal transduction; positive regulation of embryonic development; positive regulation of stress fiber formation; negative regulation of vascular permeability; actin cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; vasculogenesis; cell migration involved in gastrulation
