other info2 :
Intended Uses: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated FOXO1 concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human FOXO1 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add FOXO1 and FOXO1 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of FOXO1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]

ncbi summary :
This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which are characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in myogenic growth and differentiation. Translocation of this gene with PAX3 has been associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
FOXO1A: a transcription factor of the forkhead family. A central regulator of metabolism in several cell types. May play an important role in myogenic growth and differentiation, and in the regulation of lipolysis in adipocytes by controlling the expression of adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL), the rate-limiting lipolytic enzyme. Translocation of this gene with PAX3 has been associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Contains 1 fork-head domain. Protein type: Oncoprotein; Transcription factor; DNA-binding; Nuclear receptor co-regulator. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q14.1. Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; mitochondrion; cytoplasm; nucleus; cytosol. Molecular Function: protein binding; protein phosphatase 2A binding; sequence-specific DNA binding; ubiquitin protein ligase binding; chromatin binding. Biological Process: fat cell differentiation; transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; nerve growth factor receptor signaling pathway; apoptosis; positive regulation of apoptosis; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; thermoregulation; positive regulation of gluconeogenesis; positive regulation of autophagy; epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway; blood vessel development; phosphoinositide-mediated signaling; fibroblast growth factor receptor signaling pathway; negative regulation of stress-activated MAPK cascade; cellular response to starvation; negative regulation of fat cell differentiation; endocrine pancreas development; protein amino acid acetylation; cellular response to insulin stimulus; positive regulation of protein catabolic process; insulin receptor signaling pathway; autophagy; innate immune response; cell glucose homeostasis; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; response to DNA damage stimulus; negative regulation of apoptosis.
