other info1 :
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 3.12 ng/ml - 100 ng/ml. Sensitivity: 1.0 ng/ml.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated SYNPO concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human SYNPO antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add SYNPO and SYNPO antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of SYNPO in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean x100]

ncbi summary :
Synaptopodin is an actin-associated protein that may play a role in actin-based cell shape and motility. The name synaptopodin derives from the protein's associations with postsynaptic densities and dendritic spines and with renal podocytes (Mundel et al., 1997 [PubMed 9314539]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
uniprot summary :
SYNPO: an actin-associated protein that may play a role in modulating actin-based shape and motility of dendritic spines and renal podocyte foot processes. Seems to be essential for the formation of spine apparatuses in spines of telencephalic neurons, which is involved in synaptic plasticity. Protein type: Cytoskeletal; Actin-binding. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q33.1. Cellular Component: postsynaptic membrane; tight junction; cytoplasm; postsynaptic density; stress fiber; dendritic spine; perikaryon; actin cytoskeleton. Molecular Function: protein binding; actin binding. Biological Process: regulation of stress fiber formation; positive regulation of actin filament bundle formation
