Intended Uses: This ELISA kit is intended for laboratory in vitro research use only, not for drug, household or other use! The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm by a spectrophotometer. In order to measure the concentration of Human SA in the sample, this ELISA kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the samples and allow the operator to produce a standard curve of Optical Density versus Human SA concentration. The concentration of Human SA in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) are less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) are less than 15%.

uniprot summary :
ACSM3: Has medium-chain fatty acid:CoA ligase activity with broad substrate specificity (in vitro). Acts on acids from C(4) to C(11) and on the corresponding 3-hydroxy- and 2,3- or 3,4- unsaturated acids (in vitro). Belongs to the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Ligase; Carbohydrate Metabolism - butanoate; Mitochondrial; EC 6.2.1.2. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.11. Cellular Component: mitochondrial matrix. Molecular Function: butyrate-CoA ligase activity; fatty-acid ligase activity; metal ion binding; ATP binding. Biological Process: cholesterol homeostasis; regulation of blood pressure; fatty acid biosynthetic process
