The peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) belongs to the nuclear receptor superfamily and plays an important role in the regulation of the storage and catabolism of dietary fats. PPAR contains three subtypes, PPARα, PPARβand PPARγ [1] . Many naturally occurring molecules such as; polyunsaturated fatty acids like arachidonic acid and arachidonic acid metabolites such as; polyunsaturated fatty acids like arachidonic acid and arachidonic acid metabolites can bind and activate PPARgamma [2] .
