CEACAM1 protein is involved in various biological processes. It is phosphorylated by the insulin receptor (INSR) in response to insulin stimulation, thereby promoting insulin clearance and regulating hepatic lipogenesis. The SF3R gene is involved in various biological processes and functions. It regulates insulin action by promoting the clearance of insulin and regulating lipogenesis in the liver. Upon insulin stimulation, SF3R undergoes phosphorylation by the insulin receptor (INSR), leading to increased insulin endocytosis and degradation. This results in a reduction of fatty acid synthesis. SF3R also plays a role in down-regulating cell proliferation through its interaction with SHC1, which decreases the coupling of SHC1 to the MAPK3/ERK1-MAPK1/ERK2 and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathways.
