ENPP-3 is a hydrolase that metabolizes extracellular nucleotides (ATP, GTP, UTP, CTP), which is critical for immune regulation of inflammation and chronic allergic reactions. By eliminating extracellular ATP, ENPP-3 inhibits basophil and mast cell activation and suppresses the release of inflammatory cytokines.
