CD300a/LMIR1 protein inhibits cytolytic activity in NK cells and mast cell degranulation. It negatively regulates TLR signaling via MYD88 and PTPN6 activation, but not TRIF. CD300a/LMIR1 interacts with PTN6/SHP-1, PTPN11/SHP-2, and INPP5D upon tyrosine phosphorylation.
