PILR-α is a member of the paired receptor family and functions as an inhibitory signaling receptor in immune regulation. It inhibits signal transduction by recruiting the phosphatases PTPN6/SHP-1 and PTPN11/SHP-2, blocking the phosphorylation of key signaling molecules.
