The CD200R1 protein is an inhibitory receptor that regulates key interactions by binding to the CD200/OX2 glycoprotein to limit inflammation by inhibiting TNF-α, interferon, and iNOS. Interestingly, CD200R1 displays comparable affinity and kinetics to the human herpesvirus 8 K14 viral CD200 homologue, reflecting its host CD200 interaction.
