Carboxypeptidase B1 is encoded by the CPB1 gene. The deduced amino acid sequence of human CPB1 consists of a signal peptide (residues 1 to 15), a pro region (residue 16 to 110), and a mature chain (residues 111 to 417) [1] . Carboxypeptidase B (CPB) is a protease that specifically hydrolyzes C-terminal alkaline amino acid of a peptide [1] . As a result, it plays an important role in biological analysis. Carboxypeptidase B has a critical role in downregulating inflammatory responses in rheumatoid arthritis [2] .
