TPO/Thrombopoietin Protein is a major regulator of megakaryocyte production and platelet generation, signaling through its receptor Mpl to stimulate the proliferation of megakaryocyte progenitor cells and induce megakaryocyte maturation. Thrombopoietin Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived Thrombopoietin protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

TPO/Thrombopoietin Protein is a major regulatory factor for megakaryocyte production, which signals through its receptor Mpl to stimulate the proliferation of megakaryocyte progenitor cells and induce megakaryocyte maturation. In addition, TPO/Thrombopoietin Protein can induce receptor dimerization and tyrosine phosphorylation, as well as activate signaling pathways, such as JAK/STAT, Shc/Ras/MAPK, and PI3K/Akt [1] . In adult hematopoietic processes, TPO/Thrombopoietin Protein maintains the resting state of hematopoietic stem cells (HSC). And the loss of TPO/Thrombopoietin Protein signaling is associated with bone marrow failure and thrombocytopenia [2] .
