The EphA3 protein is a receptor tyrosine kinase that promiscuously binds to membrane-bound ephrin ligands to initiate bidirectional signaling. Activation of EphA3 is known to preferentially bind to EFNA5 and regulates cell-cell adhesion, cytoskeletal organization, and migration.
