CD2 Protein mediates T-cell adhesion to other cell types by interacting with CD58 (LFA-3) and CD48/BCM1. Implicated in T-cell triggering, its cytoplasmic domain has signaling functions. CD2 also interacts with CD2AP and PSTPIP1. Moreover, its interaction with FCGR3A modulates NK cell activation and cytotoxicity.
