Annexin A1 Protein, Human is an approximately 34.0 kDa Annexin A1 protein expressed by the E. coli system. Annexin A1 is a Ca 2+ -dependent phospholipid binding protein and has inhibitory effects on phospholipase A 2  (PLA 2 ) [1] .

Human

Annexin A1 is a member of the Ca 2+ -dependent phospholipid binding proteins that are localized on the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane. Annexin A1 inhibits activity of phospholipase A2, binding 2-4 calcium ions with high affinity. Annexin A1 is a protein with multifunctional roles in innate and adaptive immunity mainly devoted to the regulation of inflammatory cells and the resolution of inflammation. Annexin A1 is an anti-inflammatory molecule playing major role as an inhibitor of neutrophil transmigration and recruitment at inflammatory sites [1] [2] .
