Furthermore, its involvement in nuclear events, including transcription, RNA transport, DNA replication, and apoptosis, is likely mediated by its nitrosylase activity, leading to cysteine S-nitrosylation of nuclear target proteins such as SIRT1, HDAC2, and PRKDC (By similarity).
