TIE-2 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) belongs to the receptor tyrosine kinase family and functions as a receptor for Angiopoietin-1 (Ang1). Ang1 bridges TIE-2 at cell-cell contacts, resulting in trans-association of TIE-2 in the presence of cell-cell contacts. TIE-2 activation promotes vessel assembly and maturation by mediating survival signals for EC and regulating the recruitment of pericytes. TIE-2 maintains the vascular integrity of mature vessels by enhancing endothelial barrier function and inhibiting apoptosis of endothelial cells [1] [2] [3] . TIE-2 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived TIE-2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. The total length of TIE-2 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is 722 a.a., with molecular weight of 95-120 kDa.

TIE-2, coded by the TEK gene, is a tyrosine kinase receptor and plays a central role in vascular stability. Ang1/Tie2 signaling is thought to regulate both maintenance of vascular quiescence and promotion of angiogenesis [1] . The angiopoietin(Ang)/Tie2 system is a key regulator of vascular biology. The expression of membrane bound (mb) Tie2 and Ang-1 ensures vessel stability, whereas Ang-2, inducible by vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), hypoxia, and inflammation, acts as an antagonist. Tie2 signalling is also attenuated by soluble Tie2 (sTie2), the extracellular domain of the receptor, which is shed upon stimulation with VEGF [2] .
