DNA helicase II/uvrD Protein, E.coli encodes an 82-kDa protein with both ATPase and helicase activities. DNA helicase II/uvrD Protein, E.coli unwinds DNA duplexes with 3' to 5' polarity with respect to the bound strand and initiates unwinding most effectively when a single-stranded region is present. DNA helicase II/uvrD Protein, E.coli is involved in methyl-directed mismatch repair and nucleotide excision repair of DNA [1] [2] [3] DNA helicase II/uvrD Protein, E.coli is the recombinant E. coli-derived DNA helicase II/uvrD protein, expressed by E. coli , with tag free. DNA helicase II/uvrD Protein can also initiate unwinding from a nick or blunt end at higher enzyme concentrations. The involvement of DNA helicase II/uvrD Protein, in the postincision events of nucleotide excision repair and methyl-directed mismatch repair [1] . Mutants in DNA helicase II/uvrD Protein are strongly sensitive to UV and Azidothymidine (AZT; HY-17413), modestly sensitive to CPX and sensitivities are enhanced by addition of a mutation in radA. Introduction of a mutation in recF almost entirely suppresses the AZT sensitivity and partially suppresses the UV and CPX sensitivity of uvrD and uvrD radA mutants [2] .
