Tumor associated calcium signal transducer 2 (TACSTD2) is a carcinoma-associated antigen which is a cell surface receptor that transduces calcium signals and may also function as a growth factor receptor. TACSTD2 is involved in negative regulation of branching involved in ureteric bud morphogenesis; negative regulation of cellular component organization; negative regulation of substrate adhesion-dependent cell spreading; positive regulation of stem cell differentiation; and regulation of epithelial cell proliferation.
