Elafin/Trappin-2, a skin-specific inhibitor of neutrophil and pancreatic elastase, safeguards tissues against elastase-mediated proteolysis. Its inhibitory range extends to the alpha-4-beta-2/CHRNA2-CHRNB2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. Elafin/Trappin-2 also weakly inhibits Kv11.1/KCNH2/ERG1 and transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 1 (TRPV1), as reported in studies. Elafin/Trappin-2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Elafin/Trappin-2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.
