FABP1 Protein is a cytoplasm protein and belongs to the calycin superfamily and FABP family. FABP1 is a liver-specific FABP that plays important roles in intracellular lipid metabolism in the liver [1] . FABP1 is expressed in renal proximal tubule cells and released into urine in response to hypoxia caused by decreased peritubular capillary blood flow [2] .
