NAD kinase (NADK) is located in cytosol, catalyzing the transfer of a phosphate group from ATP to NAD to generate NADP. NADK is also involved in positive regulation of insulin secretion involved in cellular response to glucose stimulus. More over, NADK plays a significant role in regulating cancer, heart disease, anabolic and catabolic processes, neuronal development, and aging. There are three conserved domains in NADK: the GGDG motif, NE/D short motif and conserved region II. The molecular mechanisms that regulate NADK include protein-protein interaction and post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation and acetylation including Akt, CaMK and PKC pathways [1] [2] [3] .
