BTN2A2 protein inhibits CD4 and CD8 T-cell proliferation activated by anti-CD3 antibodies. It regulates T-cell metabolism, suppressing IL2 and IFNG cytokine secretion. BTN2A2 plays a pivotal role in immune response modulation, maintaining immune homeostasis by limiting T-cell activation and effector functions.
