Product Name :
Human PDGF-BB Protein (Recombinant) - LS-G27303
Description :
Platelet Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is a potent mitogen for a wide range of cell types including fibroblasts, smooth muscle, connective tissue, bone and cartilage cells, and some blood cells. The PDGF is involved in a number of biological processes, including hyperplasia, chemotaxis, embryonic neuron development, and respiratory tubule epithelial cell development. PDGF which is composed of a dimer of two chains termed the A chain and B chain, can be present as AA or BB homodimers or as an AB heterodimer.Recombinant human Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB (rhPDGF-BB) produced in Pichia pastoris is a glycosylated polypeptide. rhPDGF-BB is a 24.3 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer of two B chains (218 total amino acids) and is obtained by chromatographic techniques.

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
