Product Name :
Mouse FGF2 / Basic FGF Protein (Recombinant) - LS-G27098
Description :
Fibroblast Growth Factor-basic (FGF-basic), also known as HBGF-2, is a non-glycosylated heparin-binding growth factor that belongs to the FGF family. FGF-basic is present in basement membranes and in the subendothelial extracellular matrix of blood vessels. FGF-basic signals through FGFR1, 2, 3 and 4 that plays an important role in the regulation of cell survival, cell division, angiogenesis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Recombinant mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor-basic (rmFGF-basic) produced in E. coli is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 146 amino acids. A fully biologically active molecule, rmFGF-basic has a molecular mass of 16.4 kDa analyzed by reducing SDS-PAGE and is obtained by chromatographic techniques.

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
