Specificity :
Detects a 55 kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular masses of SAPKalpha on SDS-PAGE immunoblots, in rat and mouse tissue extracts as assessed by Western blot analysis as well as in human cell lysates where a 46 kD band is also observed. Due to alternative splicing of the 46 and 55 kD transcripts, numerous antigen specific bands are seen within this molecular mass range. A recombinant SAPKalpha preparation is strongly detected on immunoblots.
