AntibodyName :
LS-C42987

Human
Host Species :
Goat
Product Name :
Anti-CCL3 / MIP-1-Alpha
Specificity :
Specific for human MIP-1 alpha, otherwise known as CCL3, a 69 amino acid member of the CC chemokine family which plays a critical role in hematopoiesis and is shown to signal through the chemokine receptors CCR1, CCR4 and CCR5. MIP-1 alpha is also involved in host defense against invading pathogens, acting as a regulator of activation and trafficking of inflammatory cells, such as macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, dendritic cells and CD8+ lymphocytes. The recruitment of inflammatory cells by MIP-1 alpha, has been linked with the pathogenesis of several diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, H. pylori associated gastritis and bacterial meningitis. The secretion of MIP-1 alpha by CD8+ lymphocytes has been shown to act as a major HIV-suppressive factor (HIV-SF) through binding to CCR5, identified as a coreceptor for HIV-1 target cell entry

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
