ShortWebDescription :
PAX6 antibody LS-C358010 is an unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to PAX6 from human. It is reactive with human, mouse, rat and other species. Validated for Flow, IF, IHC and WB.
UsageText :
PAX genes contain paired domains with strong homology to genes in Drosophila, which are involved in programming early development. Lesions in the PAX6 gene account for most cases of aniridia, a congenital malformation of the eye, chiefly characterized by iris hypoplasia, which can cause blindness. PAX6 is involved in other anterior segment malformations besides aniridia, such as Peters' anomaly, a major error in the embryonic development of the eye with corneal clouding with variable iridolenticulocorneal adhesions. The PAX6 gene encodes a transcriptional regulator that recognizes target genes through its paired-type DNA-binding domain. The paired domain is composed of two distinct DNA-binding subdomains, the amino-terminal subdomain and the carboxy-terminal subdomain, which bind respective consensus DNA sequences. The human PAX6 gene produces two alternatively spliced isoforms that have the distinct structure of the paired domain. ELISA: Order BSA-free antibody format for coating.

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
