ShortWebDescription :
HCG Alpha antibody LS-C357904 is an unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to human hCG Alpha (CGA). Validated for ELISA, IHC and WB.
UsageText :
This antibody reacts with a protein of ~13kDa, identified as alpha sub-unit of HCG. HCG is a glycoprotein which is secreted in large quantities by normal trophoblasts. HCG is present only in trace amounts in non-pregnant urine and sera but rises sharply during pregnancy. HCG is composed of two non-identical, non-covalently linked polypeptide chains designated as the alpha and beta subunits. The alpha subunit is identical to that of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH). ELISA: Order BSA-free format for coating.
Synonyms :
CGA, FSH-alpha, GPHA1, FSHA, LHA, LSH-alpha, GPHa, HCG, TSH-alpha, CG-ALPHA, Thyrotropin alpha chain, TSHA

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
