ShortWebDescription :
ER Beta antibody LS-C357881 is an unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to ER Beta (ESR2) (C-Terminus) from human. It is reactive with human, mouse, rat and other species. Validated for ELISA, Flow, IF, IHC, IP and WB.
UsageText :
Estrogen receptors (ER) are members of the steroid/thyroid hormone receptor superfamily of ligand-activated transcription factors. Estrogen receptors, including alpha and beta, contain DNA binding and ligand binding domains and are critically involved in regulating the normal function of reproductive tissues. They are located in the nucleus, though some estrogen receptors associate with the cell surface membrane and can be rapidly activated by exposure of cells to estrogen. ER alpha and beta are differentially activated by various ligands. Ligand interaction triggers a cascade of events, including dissociation from heat shock proteins, recepter dimerization, phosphorylation and the association of the hormone activated receptor with specific regulatory elements in target genes. Evidence suggests that ER alpha and beta may be regulated by distinct mechanisms even though they share many functional characteristics. ELISA: Order BSA-free antibody format for coating.

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
