ShortWebDescription :
CD36 antibody LS-C347453 is an unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to human CD36. Validated for Flow, ICC and IHC.
UsageText :
The CD36 molecule is an 88kD transmembrane glycoprotein, which is a member of the class B scavenger receptor family of proteins. Alternative names for CD36 include fatty acid translocase (FAT), platelet glycoprotein 4, platelet glycoprotein IIIb and thrombospondin receptor. CD36 is a pattern recognition receptor that is expressed on a wide variety of cells including monocytes, macrophages, platelets, adipocytes, erythrocyte precursors, activated keratinocytes and some endothelial and epithelial cells. Studies suggest that CD36 has multiple cellular functions and binds to a diverse array of ligands including thrombospondin, modified low-density lipoproteins (LDL), anionic phospholipids and long chain fatty acids.

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
