The 19 AA human D3R peptide showed no significant sequence homology with other dopamine receptors (D1, D2, D4 or D5). It has sequence homology of 94% with monkey (18/19 AA) and 73% with mouse/rat (14/19 AA) D3R receptors (1-2). Antibody cross-reactivity with D3R from various species is not known.

Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 for neat serum and 1-10 ug/ml for affinity pure antibody using ECL. Approx. 100-400 ug membrane protein/lane should be loaded to visualize the receptor band. ELISA: 1:10000-1:50000 for neat serum and 0.5-1 ug/ml for affinity pure. Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1 ug/ml.
