CD44 Antibody (clone DF 1485, Concentrated) LS-C204178
Specificity :
HCAM, CD44 is a transmembrane glycoprotein which is expressed by lymphocytes and several normal epithelial cells. The CD44 molecule is involved in lymphocyte homing, T-lymphocyte actvitation, interaction with hyaluronic acid and may act as an adhesion molecule. Standard CD 44 (CD44s) is composed of the products of exons 1-5 a less favorable prognosis in gastrointestinal cancers, the loss of CD44s expression predicts unfavorable outcome in bladder cancers, squamous cell carcinomas of the skin, prostatic adenocarcinomas and neuroblastomas. In immunoblotting this antibody reacts with a glycoprotein isolated from hemopoietic cells and epithelials cells with a respective molecular weight of 29-37 and 51 kD.
