UsageText :
Suitable for use in Western Blot analysis, Immunoprecipitation/Kinase, and mTOR kinase activation. Western Blot Analysis: A 1:500-1:2000 dilution detected mTOR in RIPA lysates from 293T cells transfected with mTOR. 293T cell transfected lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-mTOR (mTAB1) (1:2000 dilution). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Binding of this antibody is disrupted by phosphorylation that occurs within the immunizing sequence domain. Immunoprecipitation/Kinase: Immunoprecipitates activate mTOR. mTOR Kinase activation: Binding of this antibody has been reported to activate mTOR.
Synonyms :
MTOR, FRAP1, FRAP2, FRAP, Mammalian target of rapamycin, RAFT1, Rapamycin and FKBP12 target 1, RAPT1, Rapamycin target protein 1

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
