Product Name :
Sheep Anti-Human Lambda Light Chain Secondary Antibody LS-C147798
Specificity :
Human Ig Lambda Light Chain. The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the hidden determinants of Ig lambda light chain. In immunoelectrophoresis this antiserum is only reacting with Bence Jones proteins as well as free light chains of the lambda type. No reaction is obtained with intact polyclonal or monoclonal immunoglobulins. Cross-reactivity Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins and their fragments, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.

Human Lambda Light Chain antibody LS-C147798 is an unconjugated sheep polyclonal antibody. Validated for ID and IE.
UsageText :
This product is intended for use to detect and identify free light chain type and Bence Jones protein in serum or urine by immunoelectrophoresis or double radial immunodiffusion. It is of great importance as an aid in the diagnosis of B cell malignancies such a multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and in monitoring their therapy. In immunoelectrophoresis use /.2 l of sample in a well with a diameter of / mm against 60 l antiserum in a 20 mm long channel. Electrophoresis for / hour, 20 mA. The detection limit of this technique in serum is about 25 mg/l; in the case /00 times concentrated urine is used the detection limit can be brought down to 0.5 mg/l. The fact that in about 40% of the case the Bence Jones protein was only detectable in either serum or urine emphasizes the necessity to investigate both fluids.

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
