Goat
Product Name :
Fibrinogen Antibody (Biotin) LS-C147230
Specificity :
Human Fibrinogen. The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to fibrinogen. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony), using various antiserum concentrations against normal human plasma a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified fibrinogen. No reaction is obtained with any other plasma protein component or serum. However, the antiserum may also react with fibrin monomers, circulating fibrinopeptides and fibrin degradation products. Cross-reactivity The antiserum does not cross-react with any other component of human plasma. Inter-species cross- reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to plasma proteins since they frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum with bovine, dog, cat and monkey has been observed.

ShortWebDescription :
Fibrinogen antibody LS-C147230 is a biotin-conjugated goat polyclonal antibody to human Fibrinogen. Validated for ELISA and IHC.
UsageText :
This product is intended for use as reagent for the direct detection of fibrinogen in human cells, tissues and body fluids in immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical assays; as detection reagent in non-isotopic methodology and solid phase immunochemistry (e. g. ELISA). As a second step an avidin or streptavidin conjugate of the user's choice has to be used. This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labeled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal. Working dilutions for histochemical and cytochemical use are usually between 1:100 and 1:500; in ELISA and comparable non-precipitating antibody-binding assays are between 1:1000 and 1:5000. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Since 1995, LifeSpan has been the industry leader in molecular pathology, specializing in the localization of proteins in normal and diseased tissues, both human and non-human. We offer more than 74,000 antibodies, custom designed immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies, immediately available human tissue IHC profiles for more than 500 proteins, and histology and pathology services. Our bank of 2 million specimens is available to support our customers' contract research studies and contains frozen and formalin-fixed (FFPE) normal and diseased tissues. Our contract services are comprehensive; they include study design, antibody sourcing and characterization, tissue sourcing and validation, immunolabeling, trouble shooting, and interpretation of the results by a LifeSpan pathologist.
