A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with this protein from human, chimpanzee and orangutan based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence. The core 7 amino acid sequence QPRERPR of the 10 amino acid immunogen sequence may be reactive with UBP43 from mouse and dog. This core sequence also shows partial homology with proteins other than UBP43. Cross reactivity with UBP43 homologues from other sources has not been determined.

Immunohistochemistry: LS-B1182 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B1182 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.
