Rat brain neural cultures stained with RBFOX3 / NEUN antibody (red), chicken polyclonal antibody to GFAP (green) and DNA (blue). The RBFOX3 / NEUN antibody antibody reveals strong nuclear and distal cytoplasmic staining for Fox3/NeuN and the complete absence of staining of astrocytes, which are staining with the GFAP antibody, and other kinds of non-neuronal cells. This Fox3/NeuN antibody is therefore an excellent marker of neuronal cells. Note that we have used the same immunogen to generate a rabbit polyclonal antibody to Fox3/NeuN, RPCA-Fox3.

Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using RBFOX3 antibody at 1:1000 dilution. The secondary antibody used was an HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at 1:10000 dilution. Lysates were loaded 25ug per lane and 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST was used for blocking. An ECL Kit was used for detection and the exposure time was 5s.
