Specificity :

This antibody recognises cellular tumour antigen p53, a 50kDa transcription factor and major tumour suppressor that plays a major role in regulating cellular responses to DNA damage and other genomic aberrations. Mutation of p53 is the most common genetic change so far identified in a number of major carcinomas. The Pab1801 antibody recognizes an epitope between amino acids 32 and 79 of both wild-type and mutant p53
