Background :

IRE1 is the ER to nucleus signalling 1 protein, a human homologue of the yeast Ire1 gene product. It possesses intrinsic kinase activity and an endoribonuclease activity and it is important in altering protein expression as a response to endoplasmic reticulum-based stress signals (1).

Immunogen :

A phospho specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Serine 724 of human IRE1 was used as an immunogen. This antibody only detects IRE1 phosphorylated at Serine 724.

Buffer :

50 mM Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 0.15 M NaCl, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% sodium azide and 0.05% BSA.
