Recombinant human BPTF (FAC1, FALZ, accession number Q12830, amino acids 2925 to 3046) containing an N-terminal GST tag, expressed in E. coli. BPTF is a component of the NURF, a protein complex which catalyzes nucleosome sliding and facilitates transcription on chromatin templates. BPTF also contains two PHD domains that mediate recognition of histone H3 Lys4 trimethyl (H3K4Me3), which marks the transcriptional start site of virtually every active genes.
